Inspiration comes from all directions… the story behind our Get Real Recipes Beer Bread.
Whilst out to lunch in Hayes Hotel in Thurles, Co. Tipperary, we were bowled over by the delicious bread served with their soup. We made enquiries and discovered it was made in house on a daily basis using beer! Not only is it delicious but it’s exceptionally easy to make with only four ingredients. Hayes Hotel kindly shared their recipe with us and allowed us to use it on the latest set of cards “52 Lunches, Light Bites & More“. While we knew the ingredients it took some tweaking to scale down the quantities and test cooking temperature and time. We feel it’s now a foolproof bread recipe which is absolutely delicious with a great texture. You won’t be able to stop at one slice! I made it today with Heineken but any beer will work, the darker the beer the darker the bread!
